Lasting memories through breathtaking, soulful imagery

Your wedding day is full of moments that happen naturally which is where the real story lives. I focus on capturing those genuine interactions in a way that feels effortless and true to you.
My style blends documentary journalism with cinematic storytelling. I follow the day as it unfolds, paying attention to the small details and the big emotions, then craft it into a film that feels intentional, elegant, and emotionally honest. Nothing overdone. Nothing forced. Just the beauty of your day shaped into a story you can return to forever.
My goal is simple. I want you to fully experience your day while I create a film that reflects it at its best. A film that not only shows what happened but reminds you how it felt.
Hey, I’m TK!
My love for film started when I was fourteen thanks to a media arts teacher who believed in me before I believed in myself. Photography was the first thing I really fell in love with. My teacher always told me that a picture (or a single frame) should tell a story. That stuck with me and pushed me into filmmaking. She even helped me apply to Brock University where I later earned my degree in Film.
A few years after graduating, I stepped into weddings. I started second shooting, learned the industry, and eventually felt ready to build something that reflected my own style. That’s how Red Lotus Films was born.
My approach sits right between documentary and cinematic story-telling. Real moments, honest emotions, and films you can actually feel every time you watch them back.
Outside of weddings, I love teaching. I run workshops, mentor filmmakers, and try to help young creators find their voice. I also work closely with our community projects in Sri Lanka where we’ve built an innovation hub for students and a clothing factory that now employs mothers and supports families.
At the end of the day, everything I do comes back to people and their stories. I’m grateful every time someone trusts me to tell theirs.
If this is your first time here, welcome. I hope you enjoy exploring the work as much as I enjoyed creating it.
