My interest in film sparked when I was 15. My media arts teacher had seen something in me that I didn’t. The fascination began with photography; capturing moments came to me naturally. As cliché as it may sound, something that had inspired me at the time was when she told me, “when you look at a picture, you should be able to tell a story”. This encouraged me to capture moments that convey a story. My media arts teacher stayed after school to teach me the ins and outs of film. She even sat with me to complete my application to Brock University where I completed my degree in Film. I could not thank her enough for her support and encouragement.
Fast forward 8 years, I was introduced to the world of weddings. Shortly after graduating, I gained experience by being a second shooter for various videographers within the wedding industry. Although I enjoyed being a part of the experience, I wanted to build my own brand with an authentic style. After months of contemplating and planning, I made the decision to start Red Lotus Films. I want to not only capture the physical beauty of our clients’ weddings but also evoke the genuine emotions of the day into a beautiful film that tells your story in the most unique way possible.

Our Approach
We love to tell stories! For us, we start our journey with you by figuring out YOUR unique story. Who you both are as a couple, what music you both enjoy, what you guys like to do for fun and etc. Each couple brings a unique story to the table and our goal is to capture JUST that, in the most creative way possible so you can enjoy the most priceless moment in the most timeless cinematic way possible.

Our Driving Force
As wedding filmmakers, we are given the opportunity to be a part of one of the happiest moments in a person’s life, being side by side with them as it happens, experiencing their joy through our job! That’s the X-Factor for us as it drives us, even more, to capture these beautiful moments and edit them to recreate and heighten the most emotional and beautiful aspects of this experience. The icing on top is seeing the joy in people’s faces once they relive their favourite moment.
