Awad & Shayani

For Awad and Shayani, we had the opportunity to film a fusion wedding. Awad was Muslim and Shayani was Hindu. Both religions are a key part of their identities; therefore they decided to honour them both with two different weddings. Both ceremonies were so different but so beautiful.

I’ve known Shayani for some time but she had actually reached out to us after seeing a film we’ve created for her friend’s wedding. She loved our work and wanted us to film her special day. We were very excited to work with Awad and Shayani. They were shy in the beginning but as we worked with them, they become more comfortable. They had so many great moments.

It truly was a blessing to have been able to capture both the beautiful ceremonies.
